How did your journey into tech begin?
My journey into tech started during my time at BUTE (Budapest University of Technology and Economics). I had a strong interest in technology and excelled in subjects like mathematics and physics. Additionally, my father's career as an engineer had a significant influence on me. After completing my electrical engineering Master's in 2012 (specialized in control systems and robotics), I started working as an ASIC/SoC design and verification engineer for a small Irish engineering services company called Duolog, which Arm later acquired in 2014. I really enjoyed that role for several years, however, I then realized I needed more diversity in my work, so I decided to transfer into Applications Engineering. What I enjoy about application engineering is that it presents new and unique challenges every day, allowing me to work on a variety of tasks and solve specific customer problems. Being part of Arm means I get to work with cutting-edge technologies and the systems being built, giving me insights into upcoming products.
How did you first hear about Arm?
I became aware of Arm during my university studies, particularly during my electrical engineering Master's program in control systems and robotics. However, Arm did not have an office in Budapest at the time. My initial connection with Arm came through Duolog.
What encouraged you to accept Arm's offer and what career goals have you set for yourself?
Working at Arm felt like the right path for me. I currently manage applications engineers across multiple sites, with most of the team in Budapest and a direct report in Austin and Cambridge each. I find great satisfaction in managing engineering teams and coordinating with different groups. I value the opportunity to be at the forefront of technology, working on products that allow me to witness how technology evolves and experience the latest innovations before they reach the market.
