Championing LGBTQ+ Inclusion Year Round

Fostering Belonging Every Day

At Arm, inclusion is part of how we scale, for our people, our products, and the future we’re building. It’s not a checkbox or a campaign. It’s a mindset we apply every day.

Pride@Arm, our LGBTQ+ employee resource group (ERG), helps turn that mindset into action. By creating space for connection, visibility, and allyship, it ensures our LGBTQ+ colleagues and caregivers are not only supported but empowered to thrive.

Pride@Arm brings together people from across the business to foster a culture of allyship and understanding. Organised around five core areas; careers, culture, community, communications and operations, the group plays a key role in shaping how we show up for each other.

Malori, who leads global operations for the ERG, helps manage engagement, track initiatives and bring internal campaigns to life through communications and design. She describes her experience with the group as being both rewarding and deeply motivating.

“I’m incredibly grateful for the friendships I’ve created through Pride@Arm, for the opportunity to make an impact, and for the unwavering support Arm provides to help make both possible.”

Stronger Together

One of the most visible expressions of this work is Stronger Together, an internal campaign created and led by members of Pride@Arm. While it typically gains momentum in June, the planning, collaboration and energy behind it is constant throughout the year.

The campaign focuses on education, visibility and community, spotlighting different LGBTQ+ sub-communities and encouraging allyship both inside and outside the group. It includes blog content, events, discussions and interactive sessions that aim to spark reflection and connection across Arm.

Malori explains that this campaign requires a collective effort and months of preparation. The goal is to create something meaningful and lasting, something that reflects not only the diversity of experiences within the LGBTQ+ community, but the strength that comes from working together and building a community.

Growth Through Community

Pride@Arm is not only about awareness, but also about growth. For Dani, a long-time member of the group, being involved has shaped his experience at Arm in a significant way.

“Being part of Pride@Arm has been transformative,” he shares. “It’s a place to grow, support others and keep learning. It’s deepened my sense of responsibility and reminded me that inclusion is a journey we walk together.”

Through the ERG, Dani has mentored colleagues who are still learning how to bring their full selves to work. He has also supported parents of LGBTQ+ children, offering empathy and space for thoughtful questions.

He reflects, “My inner child was very happy to be able to do that for others. At the same time, being part of Pride@Arm has opened my eyes to experiences different from my own. I’ve learned so much, especially around intersectionality, transgender rights and the realities of non-binary people.”

Inclusive Thinking in Action

At Arm, inclusion doesn’t just shape how we show up for each other. It informs the work we do, whether that's how we build, design and communicate. Inclusive thinking is embedded in our approach to problem-solving and it drives better outcomes for everyone.

Eleanor, a technical content developer, recently led a redesign of a customer-facing document, collaborating with engineers, tooling experts and content architects. The goal was to make the information clearer and more usable for a wider audience. “The new approach better supports diverse user needs, including non-native English speakers and people with language-based learning differences,” she shares.

By prioritizing accessibility from the start, Eleanor helps ensure our work can scale across languages, regions and abilities.

For Risto, a long-time Arm team member, inclusive thinking is also core to how innovation happens. “It’s how we get the best from each other,” he says. “When people feel heard and respected, they bring better ideas, challenge assumptions and push boundaries.”

This mindset, that inclusion makes everything we do stronger, not only roots out inefficiency but builds extraordinary teams.

A Culture Shaped by People

The work of Pride@Arm is part of a broader commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. What makes it meaningful is the people behind it, those who organise events, share their stories and make space for others to feel welcome.

Dani puts it simply: “Inclusion is a journey. It’s so much better when we walk it together.”

At Arm, we strive to create an environment where our collective global workforce can effectively share their unique perspectives, skills, and ideas so that we can build the future of computing on Arm.
