From a Graduate to a Director of Engineering: Attila's Story

How did your journey at Arm begin and what do you currently do?

I started as a graduate engineer and I am currently the Director of Engineering, so to progress my career so quickly has been a great achievement for me. My current role gives me a lot of challenges, so I’m constantly learning something new. Some projects are outsourced, and this brings new ideas and ways of working into play, which adds to our work culture of open knowledge sharing. All of the training at Arm covers many company aspects and is very well provided, so there is constant knowledge being fed to me all the time.

What is the work culture like at Arm?

Everyone is very approachable. There are the professionals, who are experienced and knowledgeable and then there are graduates and interns who are all keen to learn. It’s the great mix of people which gives you opportunity to speak to everyone and make not just colleagues, but friends as well. The teams often take part in volunteering opportunities, such as food banks, agricultural work and school visits, and it is so nice to take the time away from the office to help make a difference in our community.

What do you enjoy the most working at Arm?

I really like the fact that Arm is always a leader within the tech industry with its work. We strive to always be one step ahead, working on the most innovative products. The culture and the benefits are next to none, from competitive salaries to work flexibility. I enjoy being a part of my team, collaborating together, it just brings everyone closer.
