Belonging at Arm

Shared values make space for everyone

For many of our colleagues, belonging starts with a shared set of values. Embla, a GPU Software Engineer at Arm's Trondheim, Norway office, told us how much it means to feel that alignment with the people around her. “At Arm, I feel a strong alignment between my values and those of my coworkers and the company as a whole,” she said. “Everyone understands that we all have ups and downs, and the company’s policies reflect a commitment to ensuring employees can thrive both professionally and personally.”

This kind of people-first thinking is embedded across our teams; from policies and benefits to how we work together every day.

It's okay not to know everything

Belonging also means knowing you don’t have to have it all figured out. We value curiosity, and we create space for learning and growth.

Tora, now a Hardware Verification Engineer at our Lund, Sweden office, shifted from music to engineering and joined Arm after taking a chance on something completely new. “I’d never done any programming before university and was a bit scared I’d be far behind,” she said. “But I’ve learned that it’s normal not to know everything when you start. My colleagues never get tired of my questions—they encourage me to take on challenges, and that’s helped me build real confidence.”

Support shows up early—and stays with you

That kind of encouragement is felt across the company. Virginia, a graduate engineer in our Cambridge office working in computer architecture, shared how her team made her feel seen from day one. “Even as a graduate, my ideas are taken seriously,” she said. “Knowing my contributions matter and that my growth is actively supported makes me feel truly included.”

When people feel supported, they grow, and they’re more likely to support others, too.

Communities help us lift each other up

Belonging isn’t just something that happens within teams, it’s something we build together across the business. Employee Resource Groups, early careers networks, and initiatives like Women@Arm create space for connection, conversation, and shared learning.

Virginia co-leads the Early Careers Women@Arm group, where she’s helping others grow their voice and confidence. “Through workshops and discussions, I’ve gained confidence, tackled impostor syndrome, and developed stronger assertiveness skills,” she said. “It’s made a real difference.”

Tora also shared the impact of being part of these communities. “The women’s community at Arm has been so inclusive and supportive - it's a great place to talk about challenges and share experiences."

 Belonging grows with you

That sense of inclusion doesn’t stop as careers evolve; it grows with them. Timea, who now leads People Analytics globally and serves as Managing Director for Hungary, has experienced that firsthand. “We put people first,” she said. “Whether navigating big transformations or building new strategies, Arm gives people the trust and autonomy to grow. I’ve been able to move across functions and lead major initiatives because our culture values curiosity and potential.”

Confidence, trust, and room to grow

Belonging is also about having the freedom to bring your ideas to life—and knowing that your growth matters. For Embla, it’s that trust that’s made the biggest difference. “The flexibility and support I’ve received have helped me grow not just as an engineer, but also in my confidence and ability to navigate complex challenges,” she said.

That’s the kind of impact we strive to make every day.

Bring your brilliant self to Arm

This is what belonging looks like at Arm. It’s not a single initiative or a checklist, it’s part of how we think, how we work, and how we support each other.

We’re proud of the inclusive, people-first culture we’ve created. And we’re excited about where we’re going.

Belonging at Arm means being seen, supported, and empowered. For women building the future here, it all starts with one thing: bringing your brilliant self to Arm.
