Meet Omar Al Khatib, a university student who has joined Arm’s Graduate Program.

Why did you choose to join Arm?

Arm has a very big presence at Imperial College London, where I studied, and so I always knew of Arm and what kind of work they do. It really caught my eye after an employee did a talk during a campus event and I knew after that Arm was somewhere I wanted to work.

What were your first impressions of Arm?

I didn’t realise just how impactful the work Arm does was until I joined. We get to not only work on the technology, but then see it being used everywhere and it is so rewarding. At the start my team made sure I settled in well, I never once felt like a stranger or alone, it was all so supportive – and the office tours were amazing. It’s a big place with a small friendly feeling and it makes working there so much nicer, everyone speaks to you, and everyone genuinely wants you to succeed.

How does it feel to contribute to the development of such cutting-edge technology?

It feels great to know you are at the center of building technology that will benefit the whole world, especially this early on in my career. There are so many opportunities to get involved with not only that work, but other events happening in the office, so you can network so easily. Arm has a great balance of independence and teamwork, and I can feel how much I have stepped into my own here and I know I have already learnt so much, but that’s Arm. It’s a really positive working culture.
