Think about the story your CV tells. If someone only had your CV to understand what excites you, what you’re good at and where you want to go next, would they get the right impression?
What experience should I include on my CV?
Your academic and personal projects count as experience. If you’ve built something, tested an idea, analysed a problem or found a better way to do something, tell us about it. Be clear about the role you played, the skills you used and what you learned along the way.
Experience outside your degree matters too. Societies, clubs, hobbies and part-time roles can show us how you collaborate, communicate, solve problems and balance different priorities.
How long should my CV be?
Keep it concise, ideally no more than two pages. You don’t need an elaborate CV design to get our attention. Use clear headings and bullet points that make your experience easy to understand.
