Our unique Trondheim office, nestled within the walls of a historic bank, now transformed into the heart of Graphics and GPU innovation at Arm, is where our professionals from diverse backgrounds are building the future of computing.  

 

Office Culture 

 Embracing diversity, equity, and inclusion, our Trondheim office boasts a vibrant and inclusive culture. With over 35 nationalities represented, our team engages in a variety of activities both in and outside of work, from baking delicious cakes to organizing board game nights and ski trips. And there are plenty of opportunities to socialize! 

 “The building was once a bank, and the old vault in the basement has been turned into a games room and social space… If we can’t find someone at their desk, there’s usually a good chance they’ll be down in the vault!” 

 Our Trondheim office is light and airy. The office layout, featuring an old vault turned games room and social space, fosters collaboration while providing privacy when needed with individual desk spaces. Here, you’re able to find the perfect balance between working together and working independently.

Office Spaces 

 Our historic office offers an array of amenities, including collaborative meeting rooms, private desk spaces, a gym, and a games room.  

 The basement area acts as a canteen where employees can enjoy great food cooked fresh daily or indulge in coffee from one of the many machines available. Additionally, our all-hands room welcomes everyone to a weekly Monday morning meeting to kick off the week together. 

 

Departments in the Office 

Home to Arm's GPU and Graphic teams, our Trondheim office is a creative hub where the future of computing is being built. This interesting pairing of departments make it a creative space to be and turns the office into an exciting place to balance work and play. 

Coming Together as a Team 

 In Trondheim, collaboration extends beyond individual teams to encompass various groups and initiatives, all working in synergy to deliver the best solutions. Supported by Enterprise functions providing infrastructure and a conducive working environment, our team spirit thrives both in and outside of work.  

 Our Social Committee organizes a plethora of activities such as hiking, curling, skiing, and board game nights, fostering camaraderie among colleagues.  

 Additionally, our active women's group and local volunteering initiatives contribute to a vibrant and inclusive community. With over 35 nationalities represented on site, our engineers engage in diverse activities, creating a culture of innovation where ideas flow freely between software and hardware engineers, fuelling our collective pursuit of excellence.

Office Amenities 

 The environment is important in Norway – we are one of the world’s leading adopters of electric vehicles. So, we like to think we’re a green office. Committed to sustainability, our office utilizes green energy and encourages environmentally friendly practices, such as boasting good recycling facilities and encouraging cycling to the office.  

 The Trondheim site also offers indoor bike parking and ample shared parking spaces shared across the team. We take pride in creating a workspace that serves the needs of not only of our dynamic teams, but the environment too. We also have a maintenance room, along with wardrobes and showers for everyone’s convenience. Plus, the office offers electric bikes for borrowing, making it easier to navigate the town.

Centrally located in Trondheim with easy access to public transportation, our office allows you to explore the city's rich history and vibrant culture. From following the river around Old Town to discovering new bars and restaurants, Trondheim offers a truly special living experience.

 Trondheim is a major student hub which means there are always new bars and restaurants opening in town. One of the recommendations from the locals is Den Gode Nabo (which means ‘Good Neighbour’ in Norwegian). It’s an old, rustic building, with uneven floors that make you feel like you’re drunk as soon as you walk in!
