Job Overview:
The Global Physical Security Senior Manager is responsible for defining and delivering Arm’s global physical security strategy, governance, standards, and operations across a multi-jurisdictional footprint.
This role ensures the organisation can protect its people, information, and assets through a risk-based, intelligence-led approach aligned to enterprise security, operational resilience, and regulatory requirements. The role provides senior assurance, risk leadership, and crisis advisory, enabling consistent, proportionate, and legally compliant physical security controls.
A key focus of the role is leading the transformation and maturation of Physical Security from legacy, site-led operations to a scalable, globally consistent capability integrated within Enterprise Security.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the transformation of Physical Security into a scalable, intelligence-led capability which aligns to enterprise risk and business priorities.
- In line with the Director, define and deliver a global strategy, roadmap, and operational model, including governance, standards, and service catalogue.
- Establish and maintain relevant policies, standards, and risk-based control frameworks (e.g. access control, CCTV, secure areas, guarding, visitor management).
- Own the global physical security risk register, including risk identification, prioritisation, and reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Design and oversee a global assurance programme, including site reviews, supplier assurance, and continuous improvement of control effectiveness. Act as the senior security authority for real estate projects, ensuring security is embedded into design, build, and operational phases.
- Oversee global operations, ensuring consistent guarding, monitoring, communication processes, access governance, and Key Performance Indicators.
- Partner with Cyber Security, IT, Workplace, People, and Legal to deliver converged security outcomes and ensure compliance with appropriate regulation requirements.
- Lead physical security input into major incidents and crisis events, providing senior advisory support and ensuring effective response and recovery. Design and maintain a risk-based Executive Protection programme for senior leadership across offices, travel, and events.
- Define and oversee global supplier strategy and performance across guarding, systems, monitoring, and specialist security services. Build organisational capability through training, standards, and a global community of practice to drive consistency and maturity.
Required Skills and Experience:
Extensive experience leading global, multi-site physical security programmes within complex, technology, or regulated environments, with a consistent track record in transforming PS strategy, governance, and operating models and converge them with Cyber Security.
Experience applying risk-based security frameworks, assurance programmes, and audit or assessment methodologies, alongside a solid understanding of ISO 27001, NIST, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Strong partner engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and guide decision-making at senior levels without direct authority.
Deep understanding appropriate systems and controls, with experience integrating physical controls into broader enterprise security, cyber security, and operational resilience approaches. Experience overseeing global vendors and supplier performance, helping to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across diverse environments.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:
- Experience in IP-sensitive or high-risk environments (e.g. semiconductor, technology, critical infrastructure).
- Experience implementing or operating within converged security (physical + cyber) models.
- Knowledge of privacy, data protection, and proportionality considerations for monitoring technologies. Experience with security technologies such as Lenel OnGuard, Avigilon, Axis, or similar platforms!
- Professional certifications (e.g. CPP, PSP, CISSP) or membership of recognised security bodies (ASIS, Security Institute).
- Experience developing executive protection, travel security, or insider risk programmes!
In Return:
We offer dynamic and exciting work in a global and team with diverse strengths. Arm's growth trajectory will ensure career progression and the opportunity to have a significant impact on our success.
