Job Overview:
Arm is seeking a Data Engineer to help build and scale the data foundations that support analytics, workflow automation, and AI-enabled decision-making across the People function. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of data engineering, AI, automation, and business transformation within one of the world’s leading technology companies.
The successful candidate will help design and build scalable and trusted data pipelines, improve operational workflows, and contribute to the development of intelligent systems that support workforce insights, organisational effectiveness, and employee experience initiatives across Arm.
Working closely with stakeholders across the People Group, Data Operations team, Technology teams, and wider business functions, this role will contribute to the development of modern cloud-based data and AI capabilities using platforms including Databricks. The role is well suited to someone with strong technical foundations, curiosity, learning agility, and a desire to continue developing engineering capability within a supportive and high-impact environment.
Responsibilities:
· Design, build, test, and maintain reliable data pipelines, APIs, and integrations across multiple systems and platforms
· Develop scalable transformation workflows, reusable data products, and curated datasets for analytics, operational reporting, and AI use cases
· Improve data quality, observability, lineage, and operational monitoring across data workflows
· Design and implement workflow automations that improve operational efficiency and scalability
· Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business and technical requirements into practical data and automation solutions
· Support secure, responsible, and privacy-conscious handling of workforce and organisational data
· Contribute to data modeling, governance, and engineering best practices across the data platform
· Work closely with analytics, AI-focused teams, and the Data Operations team to enable trusted and accessible data products and intelligent workflows
· Contribute to the ongoing evolution of scalable, AI-ready data capabilities across the organisation
Required Skills and Experience:
· Experience in data engineering, software engineering, platform engineering, or a related technical area
· Strong SQL capability and practical experience with Python or another relevant programming language
· Experience building and maintaining ETL or ELT pipelines in production environments
· Understanding of data modeling, transformation logic, and data quality practices
· Experience working with cloud data platforms, modern data warehouses, or distributed processing environments
· Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
· Curiosity, learning agility, adaptability, and a genuine interest in solving meaningful problems through technology
“Nice to Have” Skills and Experience:
· Experience with modern cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or similar technologies
· Familiarity with orchestration and workflow tooling such as Airflow or Dagster
· Exposure to workflow automation technologies or event-driven architectures
· Experience supporting AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics workloads
· Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, or lineage tooling
· Experience working in high-scale technology or engineering-led environments

Salary Range:
£68,800
- £93,000
per year
