We are building a cloud-based compute orchestration platform powering large-scale simulation, verification, and backend engineering workloads. The platform is central to engineering productivity, delivering scalable, resilient, and efficient compute across Arm!
This position is part of the Productivity Engineering – Engineering Support and Quality Assurance team, which plays a crucial role in ensuring Arm engineering operates efficiently within an optimal infrastructure.
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, customer-facing Internal Application Engineer (FAE) to support engineering teams using our cloud-native compute platform across Arm. Acting as the liaison users and platform teams, you will drive onboarding and migration efforts, fix sophisticated performance and scalability challenges, and guide teams in optimising reliability, efficiency, and cost across AWS, Azure, and GCP, all running on Arm cores!
Working across regions, you will translate field experience into actionable insights that influence platform improvements, while contributing to enablement, documentation, and training to ensure the platform continues to meet the evolving needs of Arm’s engineering workflows.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary technical interface between engineering users, workflow developers
- Support and optimise verification, simulation, and backend workloads in multi-cloud environments.
- Collaborate with teams to investigate and resolve workflow challenges, strengthening reliability and efficiency across engineering environments.
- Guide user feedback to influence platform roadmap and tooling enhancements.
- Create and maintain high-quality documentation, user guides, to improve adoption and reduce support overhead.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding of hardware verification methodologies for complex IP and subsystems (simulation, regression, formal/property checking, coverage-driven verification).
- Experience in an FAE, Application Engineer, or customer-facing technical support role within pre-silicon environments (typically 3-5+ years).
- Experience supporting or deploying EDA tools and verification workflows within large engineering organisations.
- Solid Linux knowledge and familiarity with distributed compute systems; exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP is highly desirable.
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash/UNIX shell) to support and improve automation and workflow optimisation.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical environments and work both independently and collaboratively within a global, customer-facing setting.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:
- Exposure to the software development lifecycle, including Git and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with Docker or container-based workflows.
- Background supporting production systems with automation and data-driven operational improvements.
- Exposure to regulated or compliance-driven environments.
- Understanding of batch scheduling or large-scale compute systems (e.g., LSF, Slurm).
In Return:
We will ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable accommodation to participate in the job application or interview process, to perform essential job functions, and to receive other benefits and privileges of employment. Please contact us to request accommodation.
