The position is available in the CPU Performance Analysis and Micro-architecture Modelling team, an international team comprised of an enthusiastic mix of experts and dedicated graduates. At the crossroads of software and hardware, our activities cover all performance-related topics for the CPUs developed in the centre, from early microarchitectural investigations, to performance verification of the final products. What could you be doing as a Microarchitecture Modelling and Performance Analysis Engineer?
- Work within a small team to improve specific CPU micro-architectural features
- Model, analyze, and refine performance and power efficiency through early-stage micro-architectural exploration
- Verify final product performance to meet targets for area, frequency, power, and overall efficiency
We are looking for individuals who:
- Hold (or are on track to hold) a University or Engineering School degree by the programme start date. This can be a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science. Candidates with alternative degrees will also be considered if they have relevant experience.
- Have solid programming skills - preferably in C language
- Have some knowledge of CPU microarchitecture
- Are proficient in English
Qualities that will help your application stand out:
- Curiosity about technology outside of the classroom – personal projects, hackathons, or internships etc.
- Good interpersonal skills with an analytical approach.
- Previous exposure to CPU or system benchmarking and performance analysis

You’ll receive a starting salary of €45,000 (Bachelor level) or €47,000 (Master level), alongside a comprehensive rewards package. As you develop in role, you’ll have clear opportunities to progress within the salary range at Arm.
