Job Overview:
Arm provides the foundational compute architecture for billions of devices, spanning microcontrollers, smartphones, laptops, and cloud servers. As machine learning increasingly moves to the edge, developers depend on Arm to deliver intuitive, efficient, and scalable AI deployment experiences. Our ML tooling teams build the products that help developers design, optimize, and deploy machine learning models across Arm-based devices - impacting millions of users who rely on Arm to power the next generation of AI solutions.
As a Product Designer for ML Tooling, you’ll work at the intersection of design, AI, and developer experience. Collaborating closely with researchers, engineers, and product managers, you will transform deeply technical workflows into intuitive, empowering tools that support the entire ML journey - from model creation to optimization and deployment. Your designs will simplify complexity, accelerate innovation, and shape how developers build AI on Arm.
Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end experience design of Arm’s ML tooling, creating cohesive workflows across data preparation, model optimization, validation, and deployment.
Collaborate closely with researchers and engineers to understand complex technical processes, identifying opportunities to simplify workflows and supporting user research with ML engineers and developers.
Define hypotheses and success metrics, align user outcomes with business goals, and partner with engineering to measure product impact.
Design at multiple levels of fidelity—from service blueprints and interaction flows to high-fidelity prototypes—and contribute to evolving Arm’s design system for ML-focused interfaces and visualizations.
Foster a design-led culture within technical teams by facilitating workshops, sharing insights, and integrating design thinking into engineering workflows.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Strong interest and experience in machine learning, AI, or data science.
- A portfolio highlighting design for complex technical or developer-focused products, such as ML tools, IDEs, CLIs, data platforms, and engineering workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to translate highly technical concepts into intuitive user experiences for developers, using systems design and service blueprinting techniques.
- Experience leading the UX of a product from concept through delivery and iteration, collaborating with product and engineering colleagues.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- Familiarity with developer experience and command-line, code, or workflow-based tools.
- Contributions to design systems for enterprise or technical applications.
