Job Overview:
The Solutions Engineering PDK (Process Design Kit) team supports Arm’s global design teams in all aspects of PDK, DTCO (Design-Technology Co-Optimization), and related EDA tools. We collaborate closely with foundry partners, EDA vendors, and Arm design teams developing advanced computer systems and System-on-Chips (SoCs) that integrate Arm CPUs, GPUs, NPUs, and system IP. These technologies power diverse markets including mobile devices, IoT, data centers, and autonomous vehicles.
Whatyou could be doing as a Design Engineer Intern?
- Install, qualify, and evaluate foundry PDKs under the mentorship of a senior engineer.
- Contribute to DTCO studies involving tasks such as SPICE simulation, DRC, layout parasitic RC extraction, and other support-related activities.
- Assist with technology of file management and version control processes.
- Gain hands-on experience with leading EDA tools and semiconductor build workflows.
We are looking for individuals who:
Are currently enrolled and studying towards a Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering Degree (Bachelors, Masters or PHD students welcome). Candidates with alternative degrees will also be considered if they have relevant experience.
Qualities that will help your application stand out:
- Completed coursework in circuit design and microelectronics.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, TCL, Unix shell.
- Comfortable working in a UNIX/Linux and Windows environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced development environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A collaborative, proactive, and hardworking approach to work.
Arm Internships require you to be enrolled in a higher education degree and be returning to your course after your internship/placement.

This is a non-exempt hourly role which will be paid at an hourly rate based on the number of hours worked. Pay rates vary by location and educational level.
