About the Apprenticeship Program
- 3 Year Degree Program studying towards an Embedded Electronics Systems Design Development Engineer Level 6 Degree
- You will spend at least 20% of your time on academic work (one day a week), with the other 80% spent gaining work experience and on-the-job training
- Periods of the apprenticeship will be delivered on University of Staffordshire campus
- You’ll be supported throughout the programme with a dedicated academic tutor, regular check-ins, access to study skills and wellbeing support, and workplace mentoring to help you succeed both academically and professionally

Who We’re Looking For:
Our apprentices come from all kinds of backgrounds and experiences. Many are school or college leavers taking their first steps into tech, but we also welcome career-changers and those bringing skills from different industries who are ready for a fresh challenge.
Formal qualifications aren’t everything. What matters most to us is your passion, your potential, and above all, your curiosity.
We’re looking for people who can tell us why tech excites them, where they see their future going, and why Arm feels like the right place to grow and build their career.
Entry requirements:
- Level 2 Maths and English (e.g. GCSE Grade 4/C or above, Functional Skills Level 2, or equivalent).
- Hold, or be on track to achieve, Level 3 qualification(s) in a STEM-related subject(s) equivalent to 104 UCAS points (e.g. BCC at A-level). We welcome A-levels, BTECs, T Levels, and other Level 3 equivalent qualifications and the International Baccalaureate. You can use the UCAS tariff calculator to check equivalency.
To be eligible for apprenticeship funding, you must also:
- Have lived in the UK, a British Overseas Territory, or the Isle of Man / Channel Islands for the three consecutive years prior to the apprenticeship start date.
- Have the right to live and work in the UK for the full duration of the apprenticeship and for at least 12 months beyond the planned end date.
- Not be enrolled on another apprenticeship or studying a course funded by a student loan.
- Require new learning through the apprenticeship. This means you are not eligible if you already hold a qualification at the same or higher level in a closely related subject area.
A successful apprentice will :
- Have a keen curiosity about Hardware Development and Electronics
- Be able to explain why they're interested in working in tech and specifically why they think Arm is the right place for them.
- Enjoy solving problems and overcoming logical barriers
- Hold excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
