Job Overview:

As a Senior ODM Field Engineer at Arm, you will support ODM field quality activities, conduct system-level troubleshooting, manage RMA procedures, and refine new product SMT processes. Based in Hsinchu City, Taiwan, this role works alongside internal engineering teams and ODM partners to accelerate field problem-solving and maintain effective server platform debugging.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle ODM field quality matters, RMA operations, status updates, subsequent actions, and closure advancement.
  • Support field log collection, system-level issue triage, basic issue reproduction, debug summaries, and FA/RMA updates.
  • Coordinate issue resolution across engineering, quality, operations, and ODM teams, including overseas onsite support, unlock operations, platform setup, and test execution.
  • Assist with SMT process fixing during new product introduction, including stencil evaluation, assessment of solder paste deposition, reflow profile adjustment, SMT yield monitoring, and examination of frequent soldering defects.

Necessary Skills and Background:

  • 8 years experience in semiconductor related field
  • Experience in field quality, RMA handling, ODM support, server platform support, or system debug operations.
  • Familiarity with system-level triage, log collection, diagnostic tool execution, and issue isolation.
  • Knowledge of SMT processes, including stencil build, solder paste printing, reflow, common SMT defects, and related process tuning.
  • Strong coordination and issue tracking skills, with the ability to support short-term overseas ODM onsite activities when required.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with hyperscaler servers, AI servers, data center platforms, or high-density server boards.
  • Familiarity with server diagnostic tools, BMC logs, BIOS logs, system event logs, Linux commands, or stress test tools.
  • Experience with soldered-down CPUs, large BGA packages, high pin-count components, or advanced package SMT tuning.
  • Familiarity with SMT failure analysis methods such as X-ray, cross-section, dye and pry, or solder joint inspection.
  • familiarity with 8D, 5 Why, or quality issue closure processes

In Return:

You will join a collaborative engineering environment and work on server platforms used in large-scale data center deployments. This role offers the opportunity to build hands-on experience across field quality, ODM execution, system debug, and SMT process tuning.
