You would be joining our CPU Chandler development team, building AI-assisted workflows that cut overhead and speed decision-making by surfacing relevant context and automating repeatable engineering tasks across hardware, software, and IP development.
What you could be doing as an AI Intern?
Join our CPU team to help design and improve an LLM-powered system that enhances developer productivity and delivers intelligent, code-focused assistance!
- Develop and refine AI-powered tools that support engineering workflows.
- Design and evaluate prompts, golden datasets, and scoring rubrics.
- Build and optimize RAG pipelines (chunking strategies, embeddings, retrieval, grounding).
- Implement evaluation frameworks including regression tracking and automated grading.
- Collaborate with engineers to improve reliability, performance, and usability
This internship offers hands-on experience building real AI systems that directly impact engineering productivity at Arm.
We are looking for individuals who:
Are currently enrolled and studying towards a Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering Degree (Bachelors or Masters students welcome). Candidates with alternative degrees will also be considered if they have meaningful experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Hands-on experience with large language models including: prompt engineering; evaluation methods (golden sets, scoring rubrics, regression tracking; basic automated graders); RAG principles; agentic systems and workflow design (tool use, planning patterns, loop prevention, state management).
Qualities that will help your application stand out:
- Experience with Docker or Podman (build/run images, env/config, local dev workflows).
- Understanding of database fundamentals (schema design, queries, telemetry/feedback handling).
- Experience with Git or other version control systems.
- Familiarity with web development and FastAPI

This is a non-exempt hourly role which will be paid at an hourly rate based on the number of hours worked. Pay rates vary by location and educational level.
