As part of our growth, we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Hardware Verification Engineer to join our CPU Cambridge team. You’ll collaborate with colleagues around the world on next-generation CPU IP products, helping ensure they meet the highest standards of functionality, security and reliability.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with architects, leads, and verification engineers to identify and analyze potential vulnerabilities in Arm’s CPU IP.
- Plan and implement verification activities across the product lifecycle.
- Apply advanced verification methods to uncover dataflow and integrity issues.
- Design targeted tests based on threat models, design reviews, and risk assessments.
- Develop and maintain reusable verification infrastructure at both IP and system levels.
Required Skills and Experience
Hold a university or Engineering School degree. This can be a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electronic / Electrical Engineering or Physics. Candidates with alternative degrees will also be considered if they have relevant experience. Other requirements:
- Strong background in hardware development and verification (System-Verilog, UVM, C/C++, Python).
- Hands-on experience with hardware verification methods.
- Strong communication, technical writing, and collaboration skills.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience
- Experience in secure development lifecycle (SDL) processes, threat modelling and vulnerability analysis.
- Understanding of dataflow analysis, tainted-data tracking, symbolic execution or side-channel mitigation techniques.
- Familiarity with security standards and frameworks, particularly ISO/SAE 21434.
