Overview:

Arm is seeking a Data Engineering Platform lead within the Productivity Engineering organisation. You will enable the evolution of our engineering data ecosystem, defining the technical design, architecture, and delivery of data capabilities at Arm!

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable, observable, and cost-optimised data infrastructure and services.
  • Define and deliver the data platform strategy and roadmaps supporting engineering requirements and initiatives.
  • Establish data governance, metadata management, and quality standards to ensure consistency and trust across engineering data.
  • Partner with Platforms, Enterprise IT, and Engineering to integrate data systems with compute and engineering workflows.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of engineers and managers, fostering ownership, innovation, and delivery excellence.
  • Serve as a technical leader, influencing architecture and methodology across engineering and infrastructure domains.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven industry experience building and supporting large-scale distributed systems.
  • Deep technical understanding of software and data pipelines, lifecycle management, including ingestion, transformation, cataloguing, and quality.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud architecture of distributed systems (preferably AWS, Azure/GCP desirable), Apache Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern orchestration frameworks.
  • Building high-performing teams, coaching and mentoring technical leaders, developing technical managers and senior individual contributors, and managing performance.
  • Excellent communication, cross-organisational teamwork and influencing skills.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Delivering measurable and meaningful business impact, engineering excellence and reliability.

“Nice To Have”:

  • Experience in hybrid cloud and on-prem HPC environments, supporting engineering or compute-intensive workloads.
  • Familiarity with FinOps practices and cost optimisation of large-scale infrastructure deployments.
  • Expertise in data security, compliance, and lineage frameworks in enterprises.
