Job Overview:
We are looking for an AMBA Architect to help develop the next generation of Arm system architectures. You will work with experienced architects and engineering teams across Arm to define and improve interface specifications, analyse system behaviour, supporting key product roadmaps and ecosystem partners.
You will join the Architecture and Technology Group, a collaborative team building the foundation for future compute platforms from server and mobile to IoT and automotive. This role offers autonomy on well-defined projects, plus opportunities to grow towards broader technical leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the design and documentation of AMBA and related interfaces.
- Analyse performance, power and scalability using models, simulations or benchmarks.
- Review designs and specifications with CPU, interconnect, memory and SoC teams.
- Present clear recommendations and trade-offs to project teams.
- Keep specifications, diagrams and guidelines accurate and easy to use.
Required Skills and Experience :
Experience in several of the following areas is expected:
- AMBA or similar on-chip protocols (for example AXI or CHI).
- Computer architecture, including memory systems, caches and coherency.
- SoC or system-level design, microarchitecture or modelling.
- Memory technologies such as DDR, LPDDR, HBM or NVM.
- Clear written and verbal communication, including explaining design options and decisions.
A degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Electronic/Electrical Engineering or a related field is expected.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
It would be an advantage if you have experience working with:
- Distributed teams.
- Off-chip interfaces such as PCIe or CXL and their interaction with on-chip fabrics.
- System-level modelling tools (for example SystemC, gem5 or similar).
If working on innovative system architectures at the heart of Arm’s ecosystem appeals to you, we would be happy to receive your application.
