We are looking for a CPU RTL Design Engineer to join Arm’s CPU Design & Verification team in Cambridge. We build the CPUs that power billions of devices worldwide, from smartphones and datacentres to cars and IoT systems.
In this role, you will contribute to the creation, testing, and optimisation of Arm’s next-generation processors.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to microarchitecture specification, RTL design and performance trade-off analysis.
- Develop CPU logic in hardware description languages and scripting.
- Support verification to tape-out quality using simulation, formal and emulation platforms.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Degree from a University or Engineering School in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electronic / Electrical Engineering, or other related field.
- Working experience in digital design.
- Strong RTL design skills in Verilog, SystemVerilog or VHDL.
- Analytical thinking and problem solving approach.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- Knowledge of computer architecture.
- Ability to make trade-offs between power, performance and area appropriately to meet product requirements.
- Knowledge of scripting languages like Perl, TCL or Python.
- Exposure to C/C++, assembly language and/or verification methodologies like UVM and formal.
