Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual with a background in software, hardware, or platform engineering to lead critical projects. This role involves providing methodologies, workflows, and applications to support Engineering product groups within Arm. It focuses on driving efficiency, standardisation, and digital transformation through process automation and advanced engineering tools.

The successful candidate will work closely with multi-functional teams, including Engineering, Enterprise IT, product management and leadership to identify business needs, define project objectives, and ensure successful execution. This position requires a strategic problem solver who can navigate complex engineering environments, optimise workflows, and integrate technology solutions that improve productivity and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution and delivery of new features and delivery focused on engineering methodologies, workflows and applications.
  • Define scope, goals and outcomes in collaboration with engineering teams and leadership.
  • Identify and engage key collaborators, ensuring their commitment and support throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop communication plans to keep customers and leadership informed of progress, changes, and potential impacts.
  • Identifying potential risks and devising risk mitigation strategies to avoid delays and setbacks during project delivery
  • Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, resolving issues and initiating corrective action and provide regular status updates.
  • Maintaining detailed project documentation, including reports, status updates, plans and risk register.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Kanban, Scrum, Waterfall or hybrid approaches) and tools (MS Project, Jira, Confluence).
  • Ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve project goals and embrace change.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to articulate change vision and progress, foster strong relationships and engage effectively with colleagues across the organisation. Ability to clearly explain the project goals as well as each member’s tasks, responsibilities and expectations, whilst providing and receiving feedback.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and manage multiple priorities and creative problem-solving capabilities to overcome obstacles and drive project success.
  • Demonstrable ability to work closely with multi-functional teams and build strong relationships.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:

  • Cross disciplinary project delivery experience running hybrid projects that span software, hardware, and infrastructure disciplines.
  • An understanding of DevOps and CI/CD including familiarity with DevOps was of working and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Terraform)!
  • Cloud infrastructure knowledge and an understanding of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) especially in the contexts of infrastructure or platform engineering.
  • Experience managing projects that span both on-premises and cloud infrastructure, including planning and migrations, ensuring integration compatibility, and balancing performance, security, and cost considerations across environments!
