Job Overview:

Are you passionate about writing and curious about ground-breaking technology? Arm’s technology powers 95% of the world’s connected devices, from healthcare to smart homes!

We’re looking for an expert technical author to lead content projects, mentor teammates, and shape documentation for our innovative CPU IPs.

If you’re ready to blend leadership with technical excellence, and want your work to influence products used worldwide, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a small team of Information Developers with an inclusive mindset.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and domain specialists to understand the technical landscape and identify where content makes the biggest impact.
  • Use your judgement to strengthen content strategy, fill information gaps, and meet the needs of a global audience.
  • Bring smart ideas for tooling, automation, and AI — not for novelty, but to improve outcomes.
  • Champion better ways of working and help evolve how we deliver.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in writing and leading complex documentation projects and people management.
  • Proficient with content and collaboration tools like DITA, Markdown, Git, Gerrit, Confluence, and Jira.
  • Ability to manage content across projects and release cycles.
  • Clear communicator in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Creative problem solver, flexible and pragmatic in approach.
  • Eager to learn about new technologies and evolving documentation practices.

"Nice to Have" Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in documenting CPU IPs or other semiconductor designs.
  • Solid understanding of hardware design concepts, such as RTL, GDSII, and ASIC design principles in general.
  • Exposure to modern documentation toolchains and automation practices (e.g., Markdown, Jenkins, JSON/YAML, Python, or shift-left content generation).
  • A good degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Physics, Maths, English, Linguistics, or Law.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence information developers across multiple teams and locations.

In Return:

You’ll be part of an inclusive team focused on continual improvement, where your leadership and expertise are truly valued. You’ll help shape documentation strategy and people development for Arm's critical CPU IP products, with an opportunity to feed content into documenting ground-breaking products and solutions. You'll enjoy flexible hybrid work, competitive rewards, and the chance to grow your influence across a global organisation that champions innovation and continuous development.
