Staff Software Engineer
Our automotive software team is looking for an experienced Staff Software Engineer for the productization stream. You will be focusing on software integration and system level hardening of our automotive reference software stack for our next generation compute subsystems in the context of software-defined vehicles enabled with artificial intelligence (AI). You will lead technical initiatives across engineering domains and work closely with our software leads, architects as well as program and project management to deliver robust, optimized systems that shows the outstanding capabilities of our platforms.

Roles and Responsibilities
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be creating and implementing a robust software integration strategy, collaborating closely with developer and test teams, tech leads and other partners to ensure high-quality product delivery. Key responsibilities include understanding the product requirements at system level, defining software integration strategy, developing and implementing strategies to resolve cross dependencies across various software modules, creating and maintaining customized builds for multiple platform variants and customers, bring-up of software on different virtual and hardware platforms, setup and maintain build systems, and supporting initiatives to continuously improve performance and quality of our software.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 12+ years of experience with combination of SOC firmware development and integration across semiconductor development life cycle.
- Excellent C and embedded programming skills, Integration test spec development, CI/CD and familiar with Git, GitLab/GitHub, Python
- Good working experience of trusted-firmware-a, trusted-firmware-m, bootloaders, Linux, Hypervisors, device drivers and other components of embedded software stack
- Expertise with Yocto build system, repository management
- Leading feature team to achieve excellent result!
- Great interpersonal and communication skills, excellent written and spoken English, and the ability to write coherent documentation, influence, and build consensus
Desirable Skills & Qualities
- Strong debugging skills, capable of navigating complex software stacks and delivering effective solutions
- Exposure to automotive software safety/security qualification is an added advantage!
- Experience in bring up of integrated software stack across hardware and software platforms
- Good understanding of architecture and microarchitecture concepts, memory maps, MMU and SMMUs, interrupt controllers etc.
