Responsibilities:
Solution engineering team’s mission is to enable our partners by delivering secure, performant and reliable hardware and software that are easy to use. System Validation engineers in this group are responsible for driving validation specifications & methodology and deliver the validation of subsystems for the next generation of compute solution. Working in a highly focused group within Arm's Solutions Engineering Systems Development team, where you will help validate our next generation compute solutions using innovative technologies, methodologies and tools. You will work closely with architecture, design, verification, implementation engineers, modelling, performance analysis, SW development, Emulation and FPGA and Board development engineers.
- As a creative engineer with a knowledge of subsystems and SoCs, you will be owning and leading development of SOC validation platform and methodology for subsystems/solutions
- Work with project team to understand, review the SoC solution architecture and deliver emulator testbench subsystems e.g, PCIe/CXL, ETH, USB, UFS, MIPI, CSI, DSI, memory etc.
- Key responsibilities will include leading the development of validation platform in emulation, debug methodology, developing and delivering the test content, finding bugs, and running various validation checks for high-speed interfaces like PCIe, DDR, USB, Memory etc. in emulation testbench environments.
- Close collaboration with the EDA vendors and methodology
- Expected to own and lead to enhance the validation methodologies on emulation platform used by the team.
- Will guide other members of the team as needed to enable the successful completion of project activities.
Required skills and experience:
- 4-8 Years of Experience
- Bachelors or Masters (MS/MSc) in Electronics, Electrical or Computer Engineering.
- You will need experience of Emulation and prototyping validation for sophisticated SoCs and ASIC products. Emulation build skills and knowledge for a SOC and subsystem in at least one emulation system is required. Synthesizing RTL design for emulation platform and knowledge of hardware and software interplay is required.
- Experience of developing and deploying synthesizable verification IP or module is required.
- Experience of gate level emulation.
- ower estimation of the design in emulation system.
- You possess the knowledge of Validation test content using C, C++ etc and how they can be accomplished in an emulation based system.
- Exposure to producing validation specifications and documentation describing sophisticated designs
- Understanding of the fundamentals of computer architecture, system IP, memory subsystem, accelerator.
- Practical experience of working on Processor based system designs
- Knowledge of shell programming/scripting (e.g. Tcl, Perl, Python etc.)
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- Demonstrated understanding of CPU/ GPU subsystem in SoC environment and proven expertise in owning validation requirements & Validation Plan.
- Hands on Experience in validating multiple sub systems for ASICs/ SoCs in system environment (across Emulation, FPGA and Development/Eval board), owning all phases of validation (Test development, Execution and Debug) for owned subsystems.
- Understanding of SoC security aspects
