The Software (CE-SW) group is responsible for developing and improving the software ecosystem around Arm's next generation architectures and systems. This means working with processors and other hardware technology not yet available to the public.
The Fast Models DevOps & QA team is looking for a passionate, hands-on Test Automation and DevOps Engineer to play a key role in delivering high-quality software releases and continuously improving our technology stack and developer tooling.
In this role, you’ll help shape and implement solutions that have a direct impact on how Fast Models are developed, tested, and released. Your work will support internal developer teams and ultimately enable our customers to design the next generation of processors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design, implement, and maintain build systems for large-scale C/C++ software projects.
- Collaborate with developer teams to diagnose and resolve build, infrastructure, and test issues
- Designing, automating, and optimising CI/CD workflows and pipelines
- Collaborating across teams and stakeholders to coordinate and support release activities
- Analysing test results and data to drive quality improvements and inform engineering decisions.
- Improve release workflows and Contribute to the modernization of tooling and automation infrastructure.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 4+ years of proven experience.
- Good hands-on experience with Python and test automation development
- Experience with C/C++ build systems and tooling (CMake, Ninja) and Linux-based build environments.
- Proven experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and leading large project.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software engineering principles.
- Experience working with infrastructure in Cloud.
- Comfortable working in Linux environments via CLI and scripting.
- Good communications skills, and ability to communicate appropriately with a diverse set of audiences at all levels of the organisation
- Highly collaborative and effective in cross-team environments
- Able to build great working relationships with stakeholders and developers outside of the team
Nice to have:
- Experience driving efficiency and quality improvements in large software projects
- Familiarity with Conan, Groovy scripting and Jenkins DSL
- Experience with CI/CD tools – especially Jenkins, but also TeamCity, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI
- Infrastructure as Code – Ansible, Chef
- Cloud experience – AWS, GCP, Azure
- Container orchestration – Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalents (ECS, EKS, AKS)
- Cloud automation – Boto3, Pulumi, Terraform
- Experience in data analytics and dashboarding solutions.
