About the role
We are seeking highly motivated graduates to join our System IP group. The successful candidate will work as an integral part of the team to contribute to the design and verification of the next generation of Arm microprocessors, system interconnects and interrupt controllers. This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of the Arm Austin Design Center. You will be part of a small and talented team, giving you the opportunity to innovate and make a significant contribution. We employ leading-edge modeling, design and verification technologies to design low-power high-performance products.
What will I be accountable for?
Graduate System IP Engineers can contribute in one or more of the following areas:
Design:
- RTL logic design with emphasis on low-power and high-speed implementation
- Understanding of system architecture high performance design techniques and trade-offs
- Verilog HDL language and associated software simulators and waveform debugging tools
- Logic synthesis, timing constraints, static timing analysis, power analysis
Modeling
- Broad understanding of processor performance sensitivities to various workloads
- Development of virtual platform models
- Development of test harnesses and methodologies
Verification
- Verification test planning and test cases
- Functional coverage development and coverage closure
- Development of SystemVerilog test benches utilizing modern object oriented concepts
- Debug of critical functional bugs utilizing various debug techniques and tools
What skills, experience and qualifications do I need?
Education
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with a 3.5+ GPA
Technical Attributes
Ideal applicants would have experience or exposure in the following areas:
- System architecture knowledge (Processor, caches, interconnect, memory controllers)
- Experience in functional debug of errors in the RTL model
- Experience in the specification, creation, and debug of SystemVerilog/UVM constrained-random testbenches
- Good software engineering skills including understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl, Python
- Assembly language for ARM or other architectures

- Ability to cooperate and communicate well within an engineering team
- Ability to effectively work alone as well as in a team
- Demonstrate enthusiasm, drive and diligence
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary Range:
$156,500-$211,700 per yearWe value people as individuals and our dedication is to reward people competitively and equitably for the work they do and the skills and experience they bring to Arm.
