Job Overview:

Arm is redefining what is possible in cloud and data center computing. Our Neoverse platforms are helping power the next generation of infrastructure – combining advanced silicon with the system software required to turn ambitious technology into production-ready solutions.

We have a requirement for a software engineer in the Infrastructure Solutions Software team in our CE-SW group. This is a hands-on technical role developing complex software for our cloud and data center products.

You will contribute to the design, development and integration of SoC, firmware and system software, working from pre-silicon development through silicon bring-up and production readiness.

This is an opportunity to make an impact at scale!

Responsibilities:

You will:

  • Design, develop and debug SoC, firmware and system software across pre-silicon and silicon environments.
  • Translate requirements and architecture specifications into robust software solutions.
  • Investigate complex technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions across hardware and software boundaries.
  • Contribute to software design, code quality and engineering practices within the team.
  • Collaborate across hardware, software and architecture teams to resolve technical issues and deliver high-quality software.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Experience developing system software within the embedded or infrastructure SoC space.
  • Good knowledge of low-level systems, including bootloaders, device drivers, OS fundamentals (preferably Linux), and computer architecture.
  • Strong C (or a similar language) programming skills, with experience debugging and optimising software.
  • Experience investigating and solving technical problems across software and hardware boundaries.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering teams.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

  • Knowledge of Linux kernel, Trusted Firmware-A (TF-A), UEFI EDK II or Kernel-based Virtual Machine (KVM).
  • Knowledge of server-class SoCs, including RAS, power management, PCI Express (PCIe), Compute Express Link (CXL), memory and virtualization.
  • Experience with BMC software and server manageability technologies, including Yocto and Redfish.

In Return:

Join us and help shape world-class infrastructure technology at Arm! This is your chance to grow, develop new skills, and build a successful career at a leading technology company.
