We are the CPU Technology team, part of Arm Central Technology Group. This diverse engineering centric group invents, defines and architects Technologies to be deployed in tomorrow's IP solutions from Arm. We have an opening in the global CPU technology team for a highly talented, expert, and motivated individual to work shaping our next-generation CPUs that power everything from sensor to servers.
The CPU Technology team tackles next-generation Arm CPUs, inventing new concepts that will fuel billions of devices worldwide!
Responsibilities:
- Defining and coordinating new investigations related to partner requirements or new technologies.
- Representing Arm CPU solutions into partner discussions for CPU related aspects, roadmap and technical investigations.
- Collaborating with the Business teams and product Managers, but also with CPU, Software, and Architecture experts at Arm.
- Understanding competition and market.
- Analysing benchmarks, workloads and traces to identify software and hardware optimization opportunities.
Required Skills and Experience :
- You have experience in contributing to or leading partner/customer discussions and investigations.
- You are able to work efficiently alone as well as lead a virtual team across multiple groups and geographies.
- You have experience in software development, analysis, and optimization on Arm systems.
- You have knowledge of CPU architecture/microarchitecture built through, proven experience in CPU/System performance analysis/modelling/design and/or, extensive experience in workload analysis/characterization/software optimization
- You have a passion to innovate, think different, explore new avenues, and influence stakeholders through detailed investigations
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- Define Sophisticated System architectures and you have an expertise on related system constraints.
- Work with or in Key companies implementing or using CPU based complex systems and have an expertise on the corresponding market requirements.
- Work on sophisticated CPU technics, from branch prediction to prefetchers (micro-architecture, design ... ).
- You have extensive experience in CPU performance analysis and/or modelling.
- You have experience in workload analysis, characterization, and/or optimizing open-source software.
