Have you ever wondered what’s inside your smartphone or read about new tech, especially CPU micro-architecture and RTL design? If yes, Arm is the right place!
Job Overview:
Our main focus is to conceive, build and test the most energy efficient hardware that meets partner's expectations in terms of Area, Frequency and Performance.
We offer a wide range of internship topics in microarchitecture and design, with a strong commitment to improving each intern's development skills in CPU microarchitecture, proficiency in C/C++ and HDL languages.
We will support interns with continuous learning and development, and encourage them to achieve their professional goals.
What could you be doing as a Design Intern?
Interns will become familiar with the subject, think about possible implementations and design the most promising one. One of our brilliant engineers will mentor each intern along the way, and interns will share their findings through regular presentations and a final report.
Each intern will take ownership of a specific topic, for example:
- Design of High-Performance and Energy Efficient Data Speculation Memory Subsystem
- Innovative ways to improve L2 Translation Lookaside Buffer (TLB)
- Matrix acceleration on processor using the latest technology corners
We are looking for individuals who:
Are currently enrolled and studying in their last year of Master Degree (BAC+5 or equivalent) looking for their Master thesis topic.
Qualities that will help your application stand out:
- An understanding of computer architecture fundamentals (Microprocessors/CPU microarchitecture/ASIC systems)
- Familiarity with a hardware description language such as VHDL or Verilog/SystemVerilog
- Use of a Linux environment and at least one programming/scripting language (C/Python)
- Ability to express ideas and communicate effectively
- Good collaboration and communication skills
Additional Information:
We encourage early applications as we review them on a first come/first served basis.
Arm Internships require you to be enrolled in a higher education degree.
French Law requires students to complete an internship agreement (Convention de Stage). This is a tripartite agreement signed by the student, their home university and host organization, that facilitates an internship in France. It is the contract defining all the essential points of the internship: duration, missions, remuneration and benefits, insurance in the event of an accident, etc.
It is preferable that Arm's own template of the agreement is used. Successful applicants will be required to provide contact details of the appropriate university representatives in order to have the agreement signed.
In Return:
Working on interesting new projects with leaders in the field is exciting, but we also know how important it is to receive support. That's why throughout your internship, you can expect regular feedback and development opportunities, social activities to connect with your peers, an end of internship celebration, plus the opportunity to be *considered for future Graduate positions (*subject to performance). #getreadytogrow
In addition to a competitive salary andrewards package, our on-the-job learning and mentoring/buddy schemes provide unparalleled learning and networking opportunities from the best in the industry.
