The position is available in the CPU Performance Analysis and Modelling team, an international team comprising a hard-working mix of experts and talented graduates. At the crossroads of software and hardware, our activities cover all performance related topics for the CPUs developed in the centre, from early microarchitectural investigations up to performance verification of the final products.

Responsibilities:
As CPU Micro-architect and Modelling Engineer, your main role will consist in defining and studying possible micro-architectural improvements targeting next-gen CPU products.
In close collaboration with the design team, you will implement performance and efficiency features in an internal micro-architectural performance model, and analyze the resulting performance data on a wide range of available benchmarks.
You will also contribute to the continuous improvements of our performance analysis methodology, seeking for optimal engineering efficiency.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Engineering
- Programming skills (C or C++)
- Understanding of the fundamentals of CPU architecture
- Habits of Linux environment
- Good English interpersonal skills
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- Ideal candidates would benefit from additional skills and experience in the following areas:
- Experience in CPU or System modelling
- CPU performance analysis / benchmarking
- Compilers and code generation techniques
- Scripting skills in Python
