This is a unique opportunity to join Arm’s Hardware Applications Engineering team in Cambridge, UK. As part of the Partner Enablement group, you will play a critical role in helping our global customer base develop industry-leading System-on-Chip (SoC) solutions using Arm CPUs and System IP. Your expertise will directly influence the success of high-profile projects across the semiconductor industry.
What you could be doing as a Hardware Applications Engineer?
As a Hardware Applications Engineer, you will work closely with Arm's partners, providing technical guidance on IP integration, configuration, and performance optimisation. You will investigate issues, find solutions using RTL simulations, and communicate findings. Some key responsibilities will include:
- Support and Advise Partners: Assist Arm’s partners with IP integration, performance optimisation, and debug support using RTL simulations.
- Deliver Technical Enablement: Conduct technical training and strategic design reviews to improve partner SoC implementations.
- Collaborate and Influence: Work with internal teams to provide customer feedback, test new IP, and enhance documentation and tools.
We are looking for individuals who
Hold (or are on track to hold) a degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any other relevant subject. Other degree types may be considered with experience.
Qualities that will help your application stand out
- Strong Technical Foundations: Knowledge of SoC design, CPU architectures, and cache coherency principles!
- Practical Design Experience: Proficiency in HDLs (Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL) and hands-on experience with RTL simulation and debug tools!
- Familiarity with Arm Ecosystem: Understanding of AMBA protocols, Arm Architecture, and experience communicating technical concepts effectively.
Additional Information:
Arm Graduate roles require you to be graduating in 2025 or before.
If you are graduating after 2025 you will not be eligible for a Graduate role, but you will be eligible for our Intern roles. Our Intern roles will be advertised on the Arm Early Careers website Internships at Arm.
Graduate roles will start in September 2025.
