Job Overview:
Arm is at the forefront of advanced silicon and multi-die system design. As part of the Solutions Engineering team, you will drive sub-2nm technology PPA enablement for high-performance and low-power products.
In this role, you will work closely with architecture, RTL, IP, physical design, DTCO, foundry, EDA, and package/board teams to optimize technology-node entitlement across performance, power, area, utilization, routability, reliability, and design convergence. The role focuses on translating advanced-node technology capabilities into practical implementation methodologies, automation, and production-ready flows.
You will help define and deliver end-to-end Technology - PA solutions for future Arm products, including advanced-node SoCs, ultra-low voltage designs, and multi-die systems.
Responsibilities
- Drive technology PPA enablement for sub-2nm and future process nodes, with focus on performance, power, area, utilization, routability, and PPA convergence.
- Develop scalable methodologies and automation to evaluate and optimize technology-node tradeoffs across libraries, memories, routing resources, power delivery, clocking, design rules, and implementation constraints.
- Drive cross-functional analysis of technology PPA limiters, including congestion, IR/EM, thermal, timing, leakage, dynamic power, area efficiency, and physical verification closure.
- Deliver multi-die and 2.5D/3D implementation enablement where technology-node, package, power, and thermal tradeoffs impact product PPA.
- Hand-on execution and delivery demonstrating achieving goals.
- Build AI-assisted automation and analytics to accelerate PPA exploration, recipe optimization, debug, and design closure.
- Partner with IP, DTCO, foundry, EDA, architecture, design, and physical implementation teams to identify technology entitlement gaps and drive improvements.
- Support production execution by converting technology learnings into repeatable flows, checks, dashboards, and sign-off readiness criteria.
Required Skills and Experience
- Strong expertise in advanced-node SoC physical implementation, technology PPA optimization, and implementation methodology development.
- Strong understanding of technology-node tradeoffs, including libraries, memories, routing resources, utilization, power delivery, clocking, congestion, timing, leakage, dynamic power, and physical verification constraints.
- Solid programming and scripting skills, including Python, C, EDA tools, version control systems such as Git, and distributed processing/debug environments.
- Hands-on experience with low-power design methodologies, UPF-based design, chip finishing, and physical verification flows in advanced process technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across globally distributed teams.
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and collaborate with internal engineering teams, foundries, EDA providers, and ecosystem partners.
Nice to Have
- Deep understanding of advanced clocking structures, power delivery optimization, and physical verification convergence techniques.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted design automation and methodology optimization flows.
