The Software group is responsible for developing, and improving, the software ecosystem around Arm's next generation of applications processors, this frequently means working with processors and other hardware technology not yet available to the public. We work on a range of development platforms, software-models, FPGAs and early silicon, potentially months before the processors are used in real products.

We are looking for a highly capable engineer, ready to use their knowledge and experience to ensure we continue to deliver software with the level of quality demanded by our customers.
Collaborating with colleagues across the company you will focus on the approach to testing from a system validation perspective, as well as guiding the wider team through ongoing refinement of Agile processes. Are you looking for exciting new opportunities working with a successful QA team?

Responsibilities:
- Help to build and improve automated test solutions to support the team delivering production quality software.
- Prepared to provide recommendations based on research and investigation for appropriate tooling options to facilitate different types of testing and provide inputs on CI design and setup.
- Familiar with test automation at a DevOps level
Skills and Experience:
Required
- Experience level : 4 to 8 years.
- Proficient in Python and Bash scripting languages - knows how to write performance test scripts
- Knowledge of test reporting tools, test management tools, CI frameworks
- Experience of rigorously testing software using various techniques
- Have a curiosity about open-source development practices
- Understanding of computer architecture, micro-architecture concepts and assembly language - ideally for the Arm architecture and its ecosystem.
- Familiarity with the basics of modern, effective software development: source control, automated testing, object-oriented or functional paradigms and the Agile methodology.
- We expect a professional, enthusiastic, and flexible approach to work with a flair for creative lateral thinking and problem solving and a dedication to extend the breadth and depth of your knowledge.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Android testing tools, performance testing tools & security testing tools
- Knowledgeable (ideally practitioner) in Gitlab
- Exposure to both static and dynamic code analysis tools.
- The underlying product is written in C and C++, so a basic understanding of either of those languages would be helpful
- Experience with performance analysis of sophisticated workloads, especially on Arm platforms
