If you enjoy the challenge of implementing a new trade compliance program in the Asia Pacific region for a multinational corporation, this role is for you! Arm Trade Compliance is seeking a highly qualified trade compliance professional with demonstrated regulatory expertise and a consistent record of high performance, program management, and operational excellence to join us. Reporting to the Senior Director of Trade Compliance, this role will partner with business units and functions across Arm to provide Asia Pacific-specific compliance requirements for development and delivery of semiconductor technologies and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Drive export, sanctions, and customs regulatory requirements and implement operational processes to ensure compliance with local trade laws and regulations in APAC.
  • Build positive relationships with key regulators in the region and support government inquiries, license applications, and strategic positioning.
  • Keep on top of APAC regulatory changes and integrate updates into compliance programs and business processes.
  • Build and own core trade compliance processes, reporting frameworks, and critical metrics to ensure effective regional compliance and business alignment.
  • Apply your customs expertise to ensure operational excellence in classification, valuation, origin, tariff application, broker and agent relationships, entry compliance, filings for APAC.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Operations, Tax, Finance, IT, Engineering, and the Business Units to embed compliance requirements into business processes and provide training and pragmatic guidance.
  • Drive continuous improvement in compliance automation, reporting tools, and policy documentation.
  • The ideal candidate will have a B.A./B.S. or other relevant degree, 10+ years of relevant working experience in technology industry and trade compliance, previous experience in the semi-conductor or software development industry, strong working knowledge of APAC trade regulations and the interplay with the U.S. Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

  • Familiarity with semiconductor design workflows or engineering project lifecycle management.
  • Background in process automation tools or dashboards for compliance tracking.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office and ERP tools
