A significant part of Arm’s work in Lund involves developing our Neural Processing Units (NPUs). These are processors designed to run Machine Learning neural networks on edge devices, such as a smartphone or even smaller. This technology is still in its early stages, with many ideas yet to be explored. We invite you to join us on this journey and contribute through your thesis project!

What you could be doing as a Master Thesis Student?

Below is a list of our current project offerings within Machine Learning Software:

  1. KV-Cache Management in Visual Auto-regressive Models
  2. Machine Learning-Based Performance Correlation: Bridging Gap Between Hardware Model and RTL Implementation

We are looking for individuals who:

Are currently enrolled and studying towards a Masters Degree.

  • Basic understanding of Machine Learning and Neural Networks and good maths' knowledge.
  • Some programming experience, preferable C/C++/Python.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Affiliated with a Swedish university/college either directly or via an exchange program.

Qualities that will help your application stand out:

  • Curiosity about Machine Learning and software development.
  • Passion for learning and creative problem solving.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to communicate ideas effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail while understanding the bigger picture.
  • Understanding of computer architecture and micro-architecture concepts.

Additional Information:
