This is a unique opportunity to join the Arm's Silicon Solutions Engineering Test Team working with groundbreaking 2nm process technologies and the latest 2.5D and 3D packaging innovations. The test team works closely with IP, SoC Design, Product and Systems teams throughout the company, to represent test engineering and drive test capability development within Arm. We will play a key role in preparing Arm and our partners for how to address production challenges in areas such as 2.5D/3DIC and sub-3nm nodes. The lab technician role requires hardworking focus across areas such as: ATE test lab improvement projects, lab maintenance/organization, system board configurations, setup of lab test equipment, scripted test execution, board solder rework, and additional lab-related tasks. Guidance will be provided by engineers, as required.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Support (ATE, FA, Quality, FV, HW-Enablement, and Others + TBD)
- Inventory Management including checking in and out inventory items, logging new items into the system of record, and tracking consumables and requesting reorders
- Lab Inventory and Assets Audits – IC, Labs, Cabinets and Safes
- Organizational Tasks (Maintain a Clean, Safe and Organized Work Environment)
- Equipment Setup and Breakdown (Test Equipment, Boards, Cabling, Peripherals)
- Custom Fabrications / Jigs / Retention / Cable Management / Custom Cabling
- Bench Adjustments / Monitor / Host PC / PDU Adds and Configuration / Tap Boxes
- Manage Typical Tool Sets, Disk Duplication, IC Tool Updates, Lab Documentation.
- Troubleshoots Equipment Issues & documents resolutions in the lab’s One Note.
- Debug Platform Setups & documents discoveries and resolutions.
- Monitor, Engage and Complete the “Service Now” Lab Work Requests for the site
- Monitor lab infrastructure systems include power, CDA, Network, HVAC, PCW.
- Set up and maintain Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and associated equipment.
- Special projects
- Cross train across lab groups for knowledge to be able to help all lab customers.
- ESD compliance
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Thermal Equipment Setup including PCW and CDA distribution from “Sources”.
- Data Collection – Setup Environment, Launch, Collect Results, Repeat, Enable Automation of Testing by Applying Scripts or Adding to Automation Pool Queue.
- Software Installs, Upgrades and Configurations
- Component Rework, PCB Repair, ECNs, Repair Photographs, Wiring, Connectors
- Proficient using Linux, Windows, Python, PowerShell, Allegro, MS Applications
- Program Firmware, BIOS, PLC, BMC on platform PCBs using various tap devices.
- Proficient with bench equipment installs, setup and settings adjustments including oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal / waveform generators, logic analyzer, meters
- Comfortable using shop tools and a wide range of manual & powered hand tools.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Scripting experience (Python, Perl, or Power Shell)
- Basic data analysis using Excel or similar
- Experience with Advantest 93k or similar ATE test system
- Experience with handlers in the context of ATE test
- Diploma in Electrical and Electronic Sciences

Salary Range:
