Job Overview:
The Central Engineering Software Group is responsible for developing and improving the software eco-system around Arm's next generation of applications processors.
As a member of the Engineering Infrastructure team, you will have the opportunity to build upon your existing background, knowledge and expertise to provide automated build, test and development solutions along with support to both internal and external software engineering communities!
We seek proactive individuals with experience and understanding of automation tooling, containerisation, CI pipelines and systems administration on various cloud platforms and on-premises infrastructure. We will provide training and mentoring around new technologies and internal processes.
Responsibilities:
Our day-to-day work is multifaceted, and the following are examples of tasks you are likely to be involved in:
- Providing software build and test solutions catering to different market segments such as Mobile, Server, IoT and Automotive
- Lifecycle management of core project infrastructure, from design through to deployment, maintenance, and performance optimisation
- Continuous improvement of workflow quality, security, and efficiency
- Customer support, providing timely analysis and resolution of issues, requirements analysis and task breakdown
- Communication & collaboration with engineering IT, software development teams and the open source community
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience in Devops/Infrastructure engineering
- Prior experience involving use of cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP
- Experience in Unix (Linux) Systems Administration
- Experience of delivering solutions using virtualisation and containerisation technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, OpenStack, Rancher, and Harvester
- Knowledge of automation and “Infrastructure as Code” tooling such as Terraform & Ansible

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:
- Prior work experience with enabling remote access for development boards
- Good understanding of network infrastructure and lab management
- Experience of developing CI/CD pipelines using common DevOps tooling (Jenkins, Gitlab, BuildBot, Gerrit)
- Experience of DevSecOps, infrastructure security, zero trust capabilities, and architecture.
- We value familiarity with open source project development cycles and contribution processes, particularly around CI/CD infrastructure
- You are familiar and flexible in the use of various software development lifecycle methods including Agile
