We are looking for our next Information Developer to join Arm and help craft the future of technology, working with a diverse group of experts who bring a rich mix of technical and creative expertise.

Job Overview:

As a Senior Information Developer in the System IP Technical Communications team, you will lead in planning and generation of content for System IP projects by actively impacting the next generation of Arm technologies. You will also significantly contribute to influencing 95% of the world’s connected devices and all their applications in Healthcare, Infrastructure, Smart Homes, and other areas across a variety of industries, to provide our partners with the content they need to make the most of our products.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, build, and maintain user-centric technical documentation content.
  • Improve the clarity and consistency of content targeted for a global audience.
  • Be a content and customer advocate.

Work with other Tech Comms colleagues and the wider Arm community to improve what our team does and how we work.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Expert Information Developer/Technical Writer.
  • Standout colleague who enjoys working in a collaborative, inclusive, and exciting motivational environment.
  • Proactive and independent worker.
  • Clear communicator and creative problem solver.
  • Eager to learn about new technologies and standards.
  • Open to change and able to adapt.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

A degree or equivalent experience in a related area. For example:

  • Computer science, Physics, or Maths
  • English, Linguistics, or Law

We use different toolchains and an evolving shift-left approach, auto generating content from Engineering source. Some exposure to one or more of the following would be an advantage:

  • Markdown
  • Jenkins
  • DITA
  • JSON or YAML
  • Python

People leadership experience, or a prominent interest in people leadership as part of a future career progression path, would be a strong advantage.

Being familiar with electronics is an advantage because of the domain in which Arm works. Understanding computer architecture and how hardware and software interacts is a good start.

You will need many of these skills and experiences to do the job, a strong curiosity about learning the rest, and a passion for continual improvement. We are keen to welcome innovative people into Arm.
