Arm is building the next generation of AI platforms for developers to build Cloud to Car and Cloud to Edge solutions in the Automotive and Industrial market segments. This is a rare opportunity to build a new team and products based from our Budapest office. Your team shall enable developers to easily utilise new Arm technology as they build their solutions.

Job Overview:


As a Director of Engineering you will lead teams to deliver software solutions for developers by integrating proprietary code and open source technologies to be used as blueprints to streamline the building of customer products.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit and lead a new result oriented software engineering team providing them clear direction, support and technical leadership.
  • Establish and foster positive relationships within Arm and the relevant ecosystems and developer communities. Thereby ensure your team are delivering valuable work at pace.
  • Uphold high standards for solution design, security, compliance, and code quality while establishing critical metrics to measure and improve your team's engineering performance.

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Consistent track record for 8+ years leading software teams to successfully deliver solutions.
  • Experience in successfully applying modern agile software development practices and creating a continuous improvement culture.
  • Strong software engineering background with prior hands on technical experience.
  • Outstanding communications skills with experience of delivering clarity from complexity and working directly with senior leaders and customers.
  • Occasional travel e.g., visits to global Arm offices and developer conferences.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

  • Automotive and/or high end Industrial background or demonstrable knowledge. Specific SOAFEE and/or ROS an advantage.
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant subject, such as electronic engineering or computer science.
  • Familiarity with ARM architecture and software ecosystems.
