Job Overview:

This position provides a fantastic opportunity to work as part of the CPU Operations Leadership team and in partnership with the Bangalore (BLR) CPU Leadership Team as the Portfolio Manager for all CPU projects delivered by Bangalore.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be lead a team of Project Managers to successfully deliver large-scale, multi-year CPU Projects to schedule, cost and quality, drive improvements in how CPU operates and ensure delivery is aligned with required standards and uses best in class process and methodologies.

As part of a global CPU operations team, this role requires a minimal amount of travel to work across Arm.

Required Skills and Experience :

Portfolio Delivery – Ensure projects follow agreed standards to ensure delivery is carefully tracked and reported and achieves on-time and at-target delivery, avoiding surprises to key partners. Including: the creation of accurate portfolio status updates for internal and external partners, critical review of project status to resolve issues early and implementing action plans to address specific and systematic areas of non-compliance identified during audits.

Portfolio Planning – In partnership with the BLR CPU LT, ensure the BLR portfolio of projects are sufficiently resourced and prioritised to deliver the CPU strategy. Including: supporting mid-term and long term portfolio planning for BLR, allocating the BLR Ops team to projects, ensuring dependencies and risks are identified, communicated and managed, and reviewing of project and program level plans to ensure plans are achievable, balanced for risk and will deliver the objectives.

Team Development – Effectively lead and develop the Bangalore team including: forecasting the need for additional resources, performing the associated hiring plans, retaining and engaging the team by providing interesting and challenging opportunities, ensuring the team feels valued and rewarded, providing a flexible work environment while still ensuring everyone remains connected as one team,

providing for the teams talent development needs, succession plans, mentoring and coaching

Innovation & Change – Enable continuous improvement of process and methodology to ensure that CPU uses best in class process and methodology both locally and globally. Including: defining and implementing improvements at the site and group level, sharing standard methodology and feedback across CPU and Engineering to enable the successful implementation and adoption of improvements.

Operations – Enable the efficient and effective operations of the BLR CPU team

including: ensuring completion of timesheets,

induction of new team members, creation and maintenance of site operational documentation and processes (e.g new starter guides).

Collaboration - Work with external partners and internal colleagues/teams to build strong relationships and open, trusted, communication channels so that we stay connected, harness the best ideas, remain aligned and use the best our people have to offer.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

  • Holding formal project management qualification (e.g. PMP, Prince2).
  • Has prior experience in working with CPUs or related areas.
  • Comfortable with configuration methods, versioning, and documentation tools.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated, looking to accept new challenges.
  • Professional attitude, with strong attention to detail.
  • Pro-active and pragmatic with regards to problem solving.
