Job Overview:

Are you eager to be the key technical expert in a dynamic sales team, helping customers develop cutting-edge SoCs and systems using Arm technology? If you're enthusiastic about creating next-generation SoCs and have experience in advanced SoC design, this role is perfect for you! We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Arm as a Principal Field Applications Engineer. In this role, you will support Arm’s partners in designing SoCs and solutions for data centers, automotive, and edge applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with OEMs and companies designing silicon, assisting them in creating SoCs for data center, automotive, and edge applications using Arm technology.
  • Be the trusted advisor to Arm's customers and exhibit exceptional technical knowledge of Arm processors, Interconnect IPs, tools, and SoC architecture. Your technical expertise will be crucial in ensuring customer success.
  • Help resolve questions and issues faced by customers during the SoC development lifecycle by collaborating with Arm's global engineering teams.
  • Work with a diverse range of partners, including silicon startups, OEMs, design partners, and research organizations.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Over 10 years of experience in design, application engineering, or FAE roles, specializing in SoC or system design for data center or automotive applications.
  • Strong understanding of data center and/or automotive silicon design from both hardware and software perspectives.
  • Good grasp of Arm processor architecture, on-chip interconnects, communication protocols, and emerging chiplet standards.
  • Understanding of SoC hardware design flow, from architecture definition to tape-out, and software architecture.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Experience with simulation and prototyping platforms like FPGAs and System-C models.
  • Knowledge of AI hardware/software architecture
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • University degree (or equivalent) in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in Arm software development tools and modeling environments.
