Job Overview:

We are seeking a versatile and driven individual to join a team of Scrum Masters within Arm's IT Portfolio Office department. You and your team will support and enable IT groups to be the very best they can be, by coaching them to develop achievable plans and to deliver against commitments.

As a superb communicator with an eye for detail, you will be responsible for a group of Scrum Masters, taking ownership of how successfully they support their teams. You will also provide exceptional Scrum Master support to a range of teams yourself. Spanning a variety of exciting change programmes, you will thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be able to employ your knowledge and experience to the benefit of others.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides support for teams across a global IT function, with a focus on facilitation of work, encouraging decision making, and conflict resolution.
  • Works closely with other senior roles to help develop and refine the end-to-end process for planning and delivering sprint work across all teams.
  • Provides line management for a small team, ensuring they are setting and meeting objectives, following our collaborative planning processes, and delivering to the highest quality.
  • Coaches their teams to follow best practices to achieve success; identifies blockers and takes an active role in removing them.
  • Training colleagues in how to use Jira and our internal processes to plan and monitor work and capacity.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Scrum Master experience of at least 5 years for multiple teams, applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Experience leading and developing a team, taking accountability for their performance, objectives, and outcomes.
  • Experienced user of Jira for sprint management, with experience of board configuration and JQL searches. and advanced functional knowledge of Excel.
  • Advanced understanding of servant-leadership management styles, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, and continual improvement.

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience:

  • Experienced knowledge of on-premise Jira implementation.
  • Experience designing and developing reports using PowerBI (or a similar reporting suite)!
  • Professional Scrum Master level 2 (PSM2 or equivalent)!
