We develop a Data Engineering Platform and the underlying cloud infrastructure, composing a distributed high-availability system that runs across multiple cloud providers and underpins data engineering and analytics at Arm.
Overview:
We’re investing heavily in this team to support Arm’s ambitions to deliver for the age of AI, expand the range of data capabilities we offer, enable Arm engineers to get value from the data, and set up the foundations for scaling capabilities across the globe.
Responsibilities:
Develop software and data products used by hundreds of engineers daily:
- Architect, deploy and validate systems and software that power the distributed data platform and multiple data products.
- Take ownership and automate the full lifecycle of software development and delivery - including design, development, infrastructure provisioning, configuration, observability and testing.
- Work with Arm engineering teams to define requirements and engineer secure, compliant and resilient data and AI solutions from planning through delivery.
- Customer support, production systems maintenance and operational support.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Advanced in one or more programming languages (Java/Scala, TypeScript, Python).
- Solid understanding of networking, security in regulated or high-compliance contexts
- Extensive practical experience in cloud environments (AWS/GCP)
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code at scale (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and related orchestration patterns.
- Experience designing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) with multi-stage workflows, blue/green & canary releases, and automated rollbacks.
- Hands-on experience in data technologies (Databricks, Elasticsearch, Spark, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
“Nice To Have”:
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and DataOps/MLOps applied experience.
- Understanding of application and data design with near real-time processing and delivery, e.g. Kafka, is preferable.
- Good understanding of authentication, and authorization (OAuth, JWT, IAM roles, etc.)
- Ability to present data in an engaging way.
- Familiarity with data lake architectures and a variety of data technologies, from ingestion and storage to analytics and ML/AI.
- Track record of technical leadership as a people manager and/or individual contributor.

Salary Range:
