Job Overview:
Arm is seeking a Facility Infrastructure Director in our Data Center Engineering organization to lead and oversee the technical architecture and management of the technology infrastructure in our engineering labs and data centers. This role will architect, build and operate the data repository system for computing and facility systems, develop analytics and alerting and manage efficient lab networks.
This role will be based in Austin or San Jose, could potentially be remote within the US.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement long-term operational data strategies to support growth and new data center builds.
- Oversee and manage the architecture, creation and administration of a highly scalable data management system to collect, pipeline and process systems data, telemetry data and facility sensor data.
- Provide data-driven analysis on performance metrics (e.g., uptime, resource utilization) to inform strategic decisions.
- Advise the centralized monitoring and alerting systems to ensure rapid incident detection and response.
- Oversee the development of analytics systems providing data feeds, dashboards and reporting.
- Manage data tiering and aging.
- Drive post-incident reviews and root cause analysis (RCA) to eliminate recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Embed Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to automate operational tasks and improve developer experience.
- Oversee and handle the architecture, creation and administration of highly scalable lab networks.
- Coordinate and/or build interfaces to/from various systems including, but not limited to, facility controls DDC system, facility sensors, cluster management systems, rack and blade management systems.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of data center managers, engineers, and technicians across multiple locations.
- Lead vendor relationships and service-level agreements (SLAs) for critical infrastructure partners.
- Communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a technical discipline
- Demonstrated ability leading technical teams, focused on data systems
- Master data management experience, Open-Source data pipelining, management and analysis tool experience
- Network architecture and management experience including BGP, VLAN, security and routing
- Hardware and sensor interfaces
- Prior budget and cost analysis experience
- Ability to travel as the need arises
- Prior people management experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and good communication skills, including English
- Comfortable meeting with and engaging directly with customers (internal and external) during requirements gathering and solution development

Salary Range:
