Job Overview
We are looking for a hands‑on Customer Support Engineer to help our hardware platform customers get to market faster. In this role you will work at the intersection of customer design, Arm architecture, and backend hardware engineering, providing timely technical support and leading issue‑triage activities.
Responsibilities
- Deliver first‑line hardware design support for customer server and workstation platforms based on Arm SoC.
- Review schematics and layouts, identify design risks, and recommend best‑practice improvements.
- Reproduce, triage, and resolve hardware issues from early bring‑up through mass production.
- Partner with internal silicon, architecture, and board‑design teams to debug system‑level problems.
- Lead joint debugging sessions with OEM/ODM partners, tracking issues to closure with clear documentation.
- Create application notes, reference designs, and knowledge‑base articles to accelerate customer adoption.
- Provide concise status updates to stakeholders and occasional on‑site or remote customer support.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering field.
- 8+ years of hands‑on experience in hardware system or schematic design for servers, workstations, or complex embedded boards.
- Solid knowledge of SoC and board‑level components: CPU, DDR, FLASH/ROM, PCIe, USB, I²C, SPI, UART, GPIO, and power‑delivery circuits.
- Proficiency with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to juggle multiple issues concurrently.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience
- Experience collaborating with ODM/OEM partners and JDM manufacturing models.
- Familiarity with Arm architecture, UEFI/ACPI firmware flows, and BMC management subsystems.
- Exposure to server validation tools and stress‑test methodologies.
