Job Overview:
The Customer Success Manager (CSM) is key to ensuring the technical and operational achievements of Arm’s most advanced customer silicon projects. Serving as a trusted intermediary and program coordinator, the CSM fosters cooperation between internal and customer groups to enable smooth integration of Arm technology into complex SoCs and systems.
As part of the core Account Team—working closely with the Account Manager and Field Application Engineer (FAE)—the CSM handles the full management of customer silicon programs. This involves managing delivery commitments, maintaining strong technical relationships, mitigating risks, and ensuring partner happiness throughout the silicon lifecycle—from concept to mass production.
Responsibilities:
- Handle the full spectrum of customer silicon program delivery, starting with planning and continuing through ramp and lifecycle management.
- Own and maintain the central program dashboard, ensuring clear visibility of all workstreams, dependencies, and achievements.
- Orchestrate complex, cross–Business Unit (BU) strategic account initiatives, ensuring coordinated execution across multiple Arm teams.
- Develop alignment between Arm and customer executive priorities, enabling a shared vision of success and measurable outcomes.
- Ensure delivery of high-value results that demonstrate tangible success across technical, operational, and strategic dimensions.
- Ensure effective follow-up on action items across teams to deliver on commitments.
- Handle critical blocking issues with timely resolution and clear partner communication.
- Serve as the main program management liaison facilitating communication between Arm and customer engineering organizations.
- Lead Statement of Work (SoW) delivery, manage achievements, and conduct regular customer reviews to track progress and set shared expectations.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with customer engineering and leadership teams through proactive communication and governance.
- Develop and maintain a coordinated, customer-facing program plan spanning all phases: design → verification → sign-off → tape-out → EVT/DVT/PVT → mass production.
- Handle Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) for all SoW deliverables, maintaining a living RACI chart to define clear ownership.
- Ensure strong program governance through structured reviews, clear reporting, and disciplined change management.
- Act as the single source of truth for program status, schedule, and risk visibility.
- Publish executive dashboards and program updates that highlight progress, key decisions, and risk mitigation.
- Facilitate clear and timely communication among Arm and customer collaborators to promote informed decision-making.
Necessary Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 5 - 7 years of experience in Program/Project Management, Applications Engineering, or Technical Account Management.
- Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional technology programs, ideally in the semiconductor or SoC domain.
- Strong understanding of IP and SoC development lifecycles, from pre-silicon through production.
- Excellent collaborator management and influencing skills, including experience engaging with executive-level audiences.
- Outstanding organizational, communication, and analytical abilities; capable of running challenging priorities calmly and effectively.
“Preferred” Skills and Experience:
- Familiarity with Arm Solutions, tools, and ecosystem.
- Understanding of CPU, System IP and Interconnect.
- Program management certifications.
- Experience working in customer-facing, global program delivery roles within the semiconductor industry.
- Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Skilled in detailed communication and aligning solutions with internal and external collaborators.
