Job Overview:
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented 3D Artist to join our demo content development team! In this role, you will produce high-quality 3D models, textures, and assets that showcase our hardware capabilities. You will work closely with engineers to ensure that all assets are visually stunning, optimized for real-time performance, and aligned with our artistic vision.
Responsibilities:
- Modeling: Create high-quality 3D models—including characters, environments, props, weapons, and vehicles—in line with concept art and design guidelines.
- Texturing & Shading: Develop textures, materials, and shaders using industry-standard software such as Substance Painter, ZBrush, Photoshop, and Quixel.
- Engine Integration: Implement and optimize assets within game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity) to maintain visual fidelity and performance.
- Technical Optimization: Ensure proper UV mapping, LOD creation, and PBR material application tailored for real-time rendering.
- Collaborative Integration: Work closely with concept artists, animators, and technical artists to achieve cohesive asset integration that supports the overall artistic direction.
- Additional Asset Creation: Contribute to the creation of VFX, lighting, and animations to enhance the quality of demo content.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize assets through polygon reduction, texture baking, and shader adjustments to ensure peak performance.
Required Skills and Experience :
- Proficiency in 3D modeling software (e.g., Maya, Blender, 3ds Max, or ZBrush).
- Strong understanding of texturing workflows, including PBR techniques and material creation.
- Experience with substance-based workflows (Substance Painter, Substance Designer).
- Familiarity with real-time lighting and rendering principles.
- Ability to balance high visual quality with performance optimization.
- Excellent team collaboration skills and adaptability to varying art styles.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally for conferences, networking events, and project meetings.
“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :
- Experience with game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity).
- Understanding of VFX creation, with bonus points for implementing VFX within game engines.
- Familiarity with rigging and animation pipelines (bonus if you have rigging experience for characters or props).
- Experience with procedural modeling tools (e.g., Houdini, SpeedTree).
- Knowledge of shader development (HLSL, Shader Graph, or Unreal’s Material Editor).
- Prior experience in game development, with at least one shipped title.
- Experience with mobile game development.
