Job Overview:
As a Micro-architect and RTL Design Engineer in the CPU team, you will be involved from micro-architecture through to RTL implementation, working in close collaboration with Performance/Modelling, Verification and Implementation teams in a multi-site and multi-cultural environment.
What could you be doing as a Graduate Micro-architect and RTL Design Engineer?
Immediately start working on real project tasks with the help and mentorship of experienced engineers. Focussing on one specific CPU block (eg Fetch, Core, Memory System).
- Our primary focus is to conceive, build and deliver the most energy efficient hardware that meets partner's expectations in terms of Performance, Power, Area and Frequency.
- Through collaboration, training and empowerment, our goal is for every engineer to quickly contribute to different project tasks and ultimately develop into an expert in the field.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Hold (or are on track to hold) a Masters degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, or other related specialism
- Candidates with alternative degrees will also be considered if they have relevant experience
Qualities that will help your application stand out:
- Some understanding of computer architecture and micro-architecture concepts
- Familiarity with hardware description languages (VHDL and/or Verilog/SystemVerilog skills)
- Adaptability and willingness to learn unfamiliar tools and systems
