The Systems Architecture and Technology Group drives the direction for Arm’s next products. Your contributions will play a significant role in driving industry trends like generative AI and developing next-gen computing platforms.
What could you be doing as a Graduate CPU Systems Architect?
Successful candidates will work closely with all technology groups at Arm, with our partners, and with industry consortia to develop and deploy new technologies to the broad Arm ecosystem. A potential focus of the work will be the Arm Scalable Matrix Extension (SME) that brings the support of AI and Large Language Models to CPU.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Hold (or will hold) a relevant University degree by the starting date. This can be a Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Computer Science or Electronic Engineering. Candidates with alternative degrees will also be considered if they have proven experience.
- Understand computer architecture concepts and trends (CPU, GPU and/or other hardware acceleration).
- Have strong low level programming and analytical skills.
- Demonstrate passion and communicate clearly.
- Have a strong desire to extend both the depth and breadth of their expertise.
Qualities that will help your application stand out:
- Deep Learning and/or generative AI (LLMs) and/or Robotics.
- Complex systems and algorithms.
- Architecture performance analysis/optimisation using cycle accurate modelling.
- Digital Signal Processing and/or Computer Vision.
- Vector processing and parallel programming.
- Assembly language, ideally Arm.
- Software/Hardware interface (e.g. device driver, operating system, or compiler development)
- Arm architecture fundamentals.
