Job Overview:

As a Developer Experience Relations Engineer on our growing team, you will be helping to solve technical challenges for our partners, discussing their issues, and ensuring our developers are getting the best from Arm's technologies and tooling.  This is an interdisciplinary role sitting between Engineering, Product, and Marketing acting as a technology advocate and evangelist with the technical and engineering experience and skills to fully understand a partner developer’s requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn new Arm technologies and envision how they could be implemented, deployed, and bring value to our ecosystem and end-user experience. Collaborate with internal Arm experts to understand new tools, technologies and their application with our developer partners.
  • Proactively engage directly with our software partners to understand their performance challenges, goals, and how Arm can provide a solution to improve their product or user’s experience.  At ease in front of partners presenting relevant new technologies and talking about a developer’s intended use case or workload.
  • Must be proficient performing hands-on development when required, reproduce partner issues and architect and engineer proof-of-concept solutions.
  • Work closely with a wide range of ecosystem partners including Android, Windows, and Linux to present new and existing technologies exploring a deployable solution or proof-of-concept.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills: able to express ideas and maintain connections with external partners, internal teams and the wider developer community.
  • 2 to 3 years’ experience with compute performance modeling, profiling, debugging, and code optimization with various compute platforms.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience with debugging and resolving performance problems on Android, Windows, or Linux systems.
  • Comfortable interacting with and maintaining relationships with software developers and customers to answer and resolve technical questions to conclusion.

“Nice To Have” Expertise and Proficiency:

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience working with external developers in a relationship role.
  • Familiar with the Arm architecture and experience with silicon bring up.
  • Self-starter with a curiosity for all computing platforms in various domains (e.g. Infrastructure/Cloud, Mobile, Automotive, and IoT).
  • Community contributions and involvement with blogs, posts and external communications would be a plus.

Salary Range:

$202,300-$273,700 per year
